At tonight's (a few weeks ago) Bible Study, a particular thought jumped out at me. Though not completely related to what we were studying, my mind sort of went off on this tangent. Also, remember that these are a finite human being's thoughts and not the inspired Word; therefore, they are not infallible.

We are given just one life to live and one death - after that, we face the judgment. Those who have not put their absolute faith in the saving work of God's Son, Jesus Christ will face Him at the Great White Throne Judgment to give an account for the sin in their lives before being sentenced to eternal damnation in the Lake of Fire. There is no reincarnation, no chance to repent after death, no way to live life over again. It's simply death, then judgment. After that, it's eternity. Eternal punishment for the unrepentant soul.…
And now is the time for the promised second post! This could very well be a milestone in blog history. My blog history, at least. I almost think this may be more of a catalog for my own thoughts since I haven't posted in forever, but a few people read the last one, so I'd hate to disappoint them with no follow up post. So where was I? Ah yes, back to the retelling of the events of Brandon Safety Day 2015. Well, here go some more pictures, this time coming from Hannah's camera!
It's time for another post... I think. First off, I passed Firefighter 1 and so I now have my new helmet! It's a lot heavier than my old one, but it's like having stripes on my shirt. :) Now that we've got that bit of news out of the way, Saturday was exactly one year since the day I asked about joining Brandon Fire. And quite a few years before that was the most awesome safety day ever with helicopters and a fire to put out... but that's a little beyond the scope of this post. The other exciting thing about today was that we get to do stuff for kids and that is one of my favorite parts of being a firefighter! Safety Day is something we have every year. There's usually a police cruiser, a few fire apparatus, an ambulance, and something to do with bikes. Kids can bring their bikes in for tuneups, get free helmets and check out all the emergency services vehicles. I loved going to them when I was little and I'm sure my younger siblings do as w…
